House Two Membership Terms
Version 1, October 2026
These terms apply when you apply for House Two membership through our online membership application. Please read them before you apply. When you submit your application, you agree to them.
1. Who we are
House Two is run by House Two Club Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17119543). Our registered office is 124–128 City Road, London, England, EC1V 2NX.
You can reach us at hello@housetwo.club. "We", "us" and "our" mean House Two Club Limited. "You" means the person applying.
2. What House Two is, and where things stand
House Two is a London members' club with no building. We run events in different places around London.
Membership has not launched yet. We expect it to launch in 2027. Until then:
- nobody is an active member, including people who have applied;
- many of our events are open to anyone; and
- no membership payment is taken.
3. What membership is
Once membership launches, only members can book House Two events, and members can bring guests.
Membership gives you the right to book events. Apart from the perks below, each event is paid for separately, at the price shown when you book. Events may have limited places.
Once membership starts, members also get these perks:
- The monthly House Two party. A free ticket for you to our monthly House Two party.
- The monthly long-table dinner. A reserved place for you at our monthly long-table dinner. The dinner itself is paid for separately, at the price shown when you book.
- Friends' rates. At selected events, the guests you bring pay a reduced friends' rate. The events and the rate are shown on the event page.
- Other invitations. From time to time we may invite members to private gatherings and other occasions. These are a bonus, not a promise, and can change.
If we can't run a monthly party or dinner in a particular month (for example because of a venue problem), we'll tell you, but it doesn't change your membership price.
- Booking terms. Each event has its own booking terms, which are shown on the event page when you book.
- Guests. How many guests you can bring is set for each event and shown on the event page. Guests must be 18 or over. Please make sure your guests know how we do things, since you're the one who brought them, and we may ask any guest to leave.
- Venues. Our events take place in other people's venues. The venue's own rules apply on the night, and you and your guests must follow them.
We may develop further membership benefits over time. These terms do not promise any particular benefit.
4. Who can apply
To apply, you must be 20 or over on the day you apply and able to enter into a binding contract.
5. Applying
- You apply through our online application.
- When you submit it, we charge a £10 reservation fee (see section 6) and securely save your card with Stripe for future membership payments (see section 10).
- Applications are considered by the House Two Committee, which meets every two months. We'll email you after the Committee's next meeting to let you know whether we can welcome you as a member.
- Whether to offer membership is at our discretion.
6. The £10 reservation fee and your hat
The £10 reserves your place in the founding membership process and includes one free House Two hat.
- If your membership starts, the £10 is taken off your first membership payment. At today's founding price, that makes your first payment £30.
- If we can't offer you a place, you keep your hat and the £10 is not refunded.
- If you withdraw before membership starts, you keep your hat and the £10 is not refunded, except as set out in section 7.
- If we cancel the membership programme, or change it materially, before it begins, we refund your £10 in full, whether or not you've collected your hat. A material change means raising the founding price above what these terms say, or removing your right to book House Two events once membership starts.
Collecting your hat
- You collect your hat at the next House Two event you come to. Hats are for collection only; we don't post them.
- There's no deadline for collecting it.
- If we've run out on the night, you'll get your hat at a later event.
- One hat per applicant.
7. Your 14-day right to cancel
The law gives you 14 days to change your mind after you apply, without giving a reason. You also have 14 days after collecting your hat to change your mind about it.
If you cancel within either of those periods:
- Email hello@housetwo.club (or use the model cancellation form at the end of these terms) to tell us you want to cancel.
- If you've collected your hat, we'll tell you where to return it: at an event or by post. Please return it within 14 days of telling us. If you post it, the postage is at your cost. Please keep the hat in good condition; if it's been worn or damaged, we may reduce the refund to reflect that.
- We refund your £10 in full within 14 days of receiving the hat back (or of your cancelling, if you hadn't collected it), to the card you paid with.
Cancelling also withdraws your application, and no membership payment is ever taken.
8. Launch and your notice
We'll give you at least one month's notice by email before your membership starts. The notice will tell you:
- the date membership starts;
- the date and amount of your first payment; and
- how to cancel before then.
You can withdraw at any time before your first membership payment by emailing hello@housetwo.club. Withdrawing never triggers a membership charge (see section 6 for the £10).
We may delay, change or cancel the launch.
9. Founding membership
Because you're applying before launch, you're a founding member. This stays true even if the Committee welcomes you in after membership has launched: what counts is the day you applied.
Founding members get 20% off the membership price for as long as their membership continues. The discount is 20% off whatever the membership price is at the time. If the price changes, you pay 20% less than the new price.
If you cancel and later rejoin, you rejoin at the price offered to new members at that time, without the founding discount.
Founding membership is only available to people who apply before membership launches.
10. Payments
Price
Membership costs £50 per month. As a founding member, you pay £40 per month at today's price.
If we change the price, we'll email you at least one month before the change takes effect. You can cancel before it does.
How and when you pay
- Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number or security code.
- By applying, you authorise us to charge the card you saved:
- the £10 reservation fee when you apply; and
- once membership starts, your monthly membership payment, as set out in your launch notice and these terms.
- No membership payment is taken until membership starts, and only after the notice in section 8.
- Membership starts on the 1st of a month. Payments are taken monthly in advance on the 1st of each month, on a rolling basis. There is no minimum term.
To update your card, email hello@housetwo.club and we'll send you a secure way to do it.
If a payment fails
Stripe may try the payment again, and we may ask you for a new card. If a payment is still unpaid 5 days after the payment date, your membership ends. You can apply to rejoin later, at the price then offered to new members.
11. Cancelling after membership starts
You can cancel at any time by emailing hello@housetwo.club. Your cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you've already paid for, and you keep the right to book events until then. We don't refund part-months.
If the Committee welcomes you in less than 14 days before your first membership payment, you can still cancel within 14 days of the day we confirmed your place. If membership has already started by then, we'll refund your payment, less a proportionate amount for the days of membership before you told us.
12. Refunds
Where these terms give you a refund, we'll pay it within 14 days, to the card you paid with. For a returned hat, the 14 days run from the day we receive it back.
13. Ending your membership
We can end your membership at any time by emailing you.
- If we end it because of how you or your guests have behaved (for example, behaviour that is unsafe, disrespectful, discriminatory, harassing, abusive or unlawful), it ends straight away and we don't refund the current month. We can also refuse entry to any event for the same reasons.
- If we end it for any other reason, we'll refund the part of the current month you've paid for but can't use.
Our decision is final, and there is no appeal.
14. Your information
We use your personal information as explained in our Privacy Notice, which is linked at the bottom of every page of our application website. Stripe processes your card details under its own privacy policy.
15. Emails from us
We'll email you about your application, your hat, the launch, payments and your membership. These are service messages, and you'll get them whether or not you've agreed to marketing.
We'll only send you news and invitations if you've agreed to it. You can unsubscribe at any time.
16. Changes to these terms
The version of these terms you accepted when you applied governs your application and membership, unless we change them in line with this section.
We may update these terms, for example to reflect changes in the law or in how membership works. If a change affects you, we'll email you at least one month before it takes effect, and you can withdraw or cancel before it does. A change will never take away a refund you're already entitled to.
17. Our responsibility to you
We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We're not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses.
Apart from the exceptions below, our total responsibility to you is limited to the total amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Nothing affects your statutory rights.
18. General
- Your membership is personal to you. You can't transfer it to anyone else.
- If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- If we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
